5.

Lots of stuff to talk about today! Been rather busy.

Well we might as well start with what I wore as I went about my business today...

(I apologise for the quality, using my iPod as camera was out of battery)

My first stop of the day, at the ridiculously early time of 7.45am was a trip to see Dr B, my doctor (obviously)
about a persistent sore throat/cough I've had. Got to make sure I'm well for uni and all that.
Now I do love my doctor, and being the lovely man that he is he gave me a full checkup as well since I knew I would be off to uni.
Although he did say something funny about my weight (apparently my bmi was a bit on the fence between normal and underweight or something), about how I should be sure to have plenty of dairy and cheese so I can be a strong mother to my future children. Although totally bizarre, It did make me laugh.

Anyway I got given clean bill of health along with some basic antibiotics to deal with my sore throat/cough.

After that it was off into town to pick up, believe it or not, MORE stuff for uni!
I swear I'll never remember it all.

Along with all my uni bits and pieces I also picked up a new book for myself (just finished One Day by David Nicholls, and I totally recommend it as it's absolutely wonderful) as well as a new 3/4 sleeve navy striped tee.

New book. Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

And new stripy tee (it's navy even though it looks more like black in this photo)

Now the bit I'm actually the most excited about sharing. While we were in town my dad phoned up to tell my some very important news...

THAT MY UNI ENROLMENT PACK HAD FINALLY ARRIVED!

Such exciting times! What was even more exciting however is that a couple of hours ago I got my email from accommodation confirming that I have somewhere to live!
Apologies for all the exclamation marks but I'm just so excited about everything. It's like it's all real now that I'm enrolled and know I have somewhere to live.

Ohhhhhh less than a month until I go!!!

DELIVERY!

So in the last week I have been getting very excited by the wonderful amount of post and parcels arriving for me.
(Well apart from the day I received 4 hefty looking letters only to see they were all from my bank. Very boring indeed.)

Now I know how much I love looking at posts of others showing off all there post and packages, so I figured I would share mine with you in return.

First up we have my lovely Lush parcel featuring Daddy-O (shampoo) and Marilyn (pre-wash conditioner)
I absolutely love Marilyn. Not only does it make my hair look lighter and shiny, but it also makes it feel super soft and healthy. As for Daddy-O, it smells like parma violets (which I love!) plus it apparently lightens hair as well so I decided to give the tiny bottle a try.

Also after lusting after it every time I see it mentioned on another blog, I bought myself a Models Own Wah Nail Pen in White. Came to £5.40 from ASOS as I used my student discount.

Below are a couple of my poor attempts at using it. Hopefully with practice I'll improve.

Nail pen with Stay Perfect Nail Varnish in 'Lucky Lilac' and Barry M Nail Polish in 'Matt White'

And used here with Barry M Nail Polish in 'Peach Melba'

As you can see I'm just playing around with it at the moment.

Up next we have a small purchase from New Look.

They are New Look's own version of the fashionable suspender tights floating around atm.
Although I think the H! by Henry Holland version of the tights look so much more amazing, I simply can't afford to spent £13 on one pair of tights. Especially given they will have a hole in them after a night out.
These cost £4.99 normally plus £3.95 delivery (unless you spend so much which is why I never usually shop online there).
However with my student discount and a free delivery code they only cost me £4.60. Bargain!

Now final parcel (and probably the one I got most awfully excited about!)....

MY COPY OF THE ART OF TANGLED ! This book is beautiful I tell you, b-e-a-utiful.
I had tried to get my hands on it while I was actually at Walt Disney World last month, but alas they did not have it there.
Luckily I have a very wonderful dad who found and then bought it for me from Amazon. Yay!
(Although now I am in "remember this" debt to him...worse than real debt at times I swear)

So that was a (rather long) look at all the parcels I've received lately, so I won't go on much more now.
But before I go, here's a quick look at what I'm wearing on this lazy Saturday.

Strapless blue dress and my favourite chunky cardi. Nothing too special.
Ta for now. Robyn -x-

1.

So today I popped into town with my mother, originally to exchange some bits.
But it turned into shopping for some of my uni stuff.
Since it was a nice warm sunny day, I decided to wear my little black patterned tea dress with a skinny belt round the middle.

Now onto what I (or rather my mum & dad) bought:

DSCF0933

So we've got; an iron, a 12 piece teal dining set, a spotty laundry bag, 2 teal cups...

DSCF0927
...and a clothers airer.

Contain your excitement please!

While being rather boring essentials purchases, they did all come to under £40.
iron - £5
dinner set - £12 (reduced from £20)
laundry bag - £4
2 mugs - £2 (£1 each)
clothes airer - £14

Although there is still lots more to get, picking up these first few bits has really made in sink in that I'm leaving home in a little over a month.
